This Southwest home was a remodel where we knocked down walls in order to widen the steps into the drop down living room.   It created this odd angular niche where the pony wall and steps met.   My clients had a  horse saddle on a saw horse that they wanted to see displayed somewhere within the space.   I “saddled up” this pony wall, added his dads old cowboy boots.  By eliminating the saw horse it “show cased” the saddle and brought interest and fun to an otherwise awkward space.
