This home was built in 1993 back when forest green carpet was the homeowners choice and beige (yawn) walls. During the remodel for the built-in book case clients chose to keep the carpet… so we diffused the color by angling a rug under the antique desk with the tones of the room. Fresh paint compliments the stain on the cabinets. Bringing in the warm color tones of the room with hard covered books is a great and inexpensive way to fill the book case.
