The challenge with this kitchen was re-orienting the seating in the island in order to capture the ocean views. The white cabinets were complimented by the gray island with plenty of storage in order to eliminate any over head cabinetry. The existing weight bearing beams throughout the space were not replaced in order to keep in tune with the era of the home which included the wood doors and windows.
